Floroscopic DR detectors are indirect detectors. As they use a cesium iodide scintillator to create the photo emission of electrons, which are collected in a TFT layer as the electronic data set. The detector is arranged as an array of detector elements or Dells in rows and columns. The size and concentration of these Dells plays a key role in detector spatial resolution. The functional unit of the DR detector is the Dell or detector element. It is the sensing part of the detector and its size and configuration directly impacts image quality and dose efficiency.
