Iso Exposures Curves - Video Lesson

We know that X-ray beam scatter as they pass through a patient. We also know that these beams can be harmful to clinical staff. So how can we avoid these scattered beams? By placing ourselves outside of common scatter areas. These areas can be mapped using spatial distribution curves called the ISO exposure lines. By distancing yourself from the patient and using radiation safe positioning, you can avoid scatter areas and reduce your exposure significantly. So what are exposure lines? ISO exposure lines sometimes referred to as ISO dose curves are a diagrammatic representation of radiation intensities around the fluoroscopic system's design. These contours express x-ray intensities at measured points around the typical patient. They are specific
