CT Heart - Video Lesson

This lesson is a review of the sectional anatomy of the heart. This is actually a CT scan which was dedicated to imaging the major vascular structures of the heart and especially the coronary arteries. This is a superior slice through the upper portion of the heart, and we can see a few important structure First, we'll notice on the anterior side of the heart. What we're looking at is the ascending aorta. And on the posterior portion, we can see the descending aorta sitting next to the spine. We're just below the level of the pulmonary vercation. This is actually the main pulmonary trunk, and this is the right pulmonary artery and the left pulmonary artery. And keep in mind, this is the same level of the chest where the trachea bifurcates into the right and into the left
