CT Chest (Lungs) - Video Lesson

In this sectional anatomy tutorial, we'll be looking at CT imaging of the lungs. There's a lot to be seen in this image, but we're especially looking at the aerated structures of the chest. We can see this dark area in the central portion of the patient's mediastinum, and that is the trachea. Just remember that the trachea is the structure that carries air from the nose and mouth down into the lungs. Something else that we should notice in this image is obviously the right lung as well as the left lung But in particular, we can get a general idea of the lobes of the lungs. In CT imaging, it is a little difficult to see the actual separations between the lobes of the lungs, but there is something that you can remember.
