Eye and Ear - Video Lesson

Hey, everyone. Welcome back to our exploration of the different procedures for administering medication. This lesson focuses on drugs given through a patient's eyes and ears and the different techniques of administering these medications, optically, auricularly, audically, and orally. In order to best understand these different administration techniques, first, we need to identify the basic anatomy of the eyes and ears. The eye is a complex organ responsible for our vision. The main anatomy of the eye includes the cornea, the pupil, the lens, the retina, and the optic nerve. Common eye disorders for which patients might receive treatment include glaucoma, cataracts, and conjunctivitis. The human ear has three main parts, the outer ear, middle ear, and inner ear. Each part plays a crucial role in the process of hearing and balance. The outer ear has three main parts.
