Hey, everybody. Welcome back. This video is about all of the brain bleeds that we can identify in sectional imaging. In this video, we will talk about several. We'll discuss subdural hemorrhage, sometimes called subdural hematoma. We'll also talk about epidural hemorrhage, subarachnoid hemorrhage, intracranial hemorrhage and we'll finish with traumatic contusions. So to begin with subdural hemorrhage, A subdural hemorrhage is exactly what it sounds like. It's bleeding in the subdural space. Remember the derma matter is part of the meninges surrounding the brain. And a subdural hemorrhage is bleeding inside of the subdural space. So what causes subdural hemorrhage, it can be spontaneous but more often than not, a subdural hemorrhage is the result of trauma. And you can see what it looks like.
