MRI Brain (Coronal) - Video Lesson

I'm a CT technologist by trade, so it hurts me to admit that MRI images of the brain are really pretty impressive. So let's take a look. In this series of MRI images, we'll be looking at the coronal view of the brain. And as you can tell, significant portion of the face is also included, but our main concern is going to be with the brain and the cranial cavity. This coronal view begins on the most anterior portion of the patient's brain. And so the first thing that we can see is the most anterior lobe of the brain. Which is the frontal lobe. We can see the right and left halves of the frontal lobe of the cerebrum in between the right and left halves We can see a fissure that's called the longitudinal fissure. The longitudinal fissure separates the entire cerebrum into right and left halves. Of course, we can see other structures in this view. We can also see the right and left maxillary sinuses of the paranasal sinuses We can see the patient's
