Modulation Transfer Function (MTF) - Video Lesson

Hey, everybody. Welcome back. This lesson is about modulation transfer function. Commonly abbreviated m t f, one of the more difficult topics in radiography. M t f is just a score that measures the accuracy of the image compared to the actual object. Sometimes it's called the image fidelity. MTF is a quality of the image receptor system that affects the image quality. It's basically the system's ability to transfer the object information into the image. MTF is scored on a scale of one down to zero. One is a perfect MTF score. This means the image perfectly represents the object. In both spatial resolution and contrast. Zero is the lowest m t f score. This means there is no spatial resolution or contrast.
