Histogram - Video Lesson

Hey, everybody. Welcome back. This lesson is about histograms. Which are an important part of digital image processing. In general, a histogram is just a representation of the distribution of numerical data. Histograms are important in digital radiography image production during the imaging process. The energy from the x-ray tube that was not attenuated by the patient arrives at the image receptor and is converted to an electrical signal. Either directly or indirectly, depending on the image receptor type. That analog electrical signal can be represented on a sine wave. The amplitude or the height of that sine wave represents the intensity of the electrical signal, which is proportional to the intensity of the exposure received by the image receptor. Electrical signals are then sampled at discrete points along
