Receptor Exposure II - Video Lesson

Hey, everybody. Welcome back. This lesson is part two of the receptor exposure series. Remember that receptor exposure is a term used in digital radiography to describe the amount of radiation passing through the patient and striking the image receptor. Receptor exposure has a significant effect on image quality. Under exposed radiographs can have a form of image noise called model, And the over exposed radiographs can have an artifact called saturation. Remember there are several variables that affect receptor exposure. This includes the tube current. That's the MA. The exposure time, usually measured in seconds or milliseconds, the mass, that's the combined MA and exposure time, and also the two potential called the KVP. This lesson discusses other variables that also affect the receptor exposure, including the source to image distance
