MRI Male Pelvis (Anatomy) - Video Lesson
Hey, everyone. Welcome to today's lesson on the MRI of the male soft tissue pelvis. In this lesson, we will look at some anatomy on coronal, sagittal, and axial slices. Let's get started. On this first coronal slice, we can easily see a full urinary bladder, which appears bright. Therefore, we can identify this as a t two weighted image. Bony structures include the pubic bones and pubic symphysis located inferiorly. Soft tissue structures include the corpora cavernosum and corpus spongiosum. Both femoral heads and acetabulum can be seen here along with the iliac wings. The seminal vesicles on the right and left side begin to emerge along with the prostate gland and vas deferens. The obturator internus is located inside the pelvic bowl and obturator externus located on the outside of the pelvic bowl. Continuing posteriorly, the seminal vesicles and inferior pelvic ramie are visible. On the
