MRI Female Pelvis (Anatomy) - Video Lesson

Hey, everyone. Welcome to today's lesson on the MRI of the female pelvis. In this lesson, we will look at some anatomy on sagittal, axial, and coronal images. Let's get started. On this first sagittal slice, you can see some important bones. The ilium is located on the posterior side and just anterior to that is the sacrum. The superior pubis ramus is located anteriorly and the inferior pubic ramus is also visible. As the slices continue medially, some important muscles are the rectus abdominis running all the way down the front of the abdomen and the psoas muscle. Located towards the middle of the image, you'll see the ovary begin to appear. The urinary bladder shows on this slice just inferior to the small portion of the uterus that's visible. You can also see the ovary. These are easy to identify as they have a bubbly appearance. Additional structures here include the sigmoid colon and
