Forearm - Video Lesson

In this view, we will be demonstrating the AP forearm. The AP forearm should be performed with the patient seated at the end of the radiographic table with the image receptor placed tabletop. With a forty inch source to image distance and no tube angulation. Our patient is already sitting in a chair. We've got a lead shield on her. I have outstretched her arm. Her hand is supinated. Her arm is AP. We're going to include the elbow. We're gonna include the wrist So our central ray is in the mid shaft of the radius in ulna. So we're gonna outstretch her right out down the IR, gonna center mid shaft. The long axis line runs down the long axis of the anatomy. We're gonna include about two inches, proximal from the elbow joint up into the humors and about two inches distal into the metacarpals. Now
