Elbow - Video Lesson

In this view, we will be demonstrating rating the AP elbow. The AP elbow should be performed with the patient seated at the end of the radio graphic table with the image receptor placed tabletop with a forty inch source to image distance into no tube angulation. So I have the patient sit at the end of the table at a right angle to the table. We have a shield placed on her lap. She's gonna out stretch her arm and her arm's gonna be supinated with her palm of her hand up. We're gonna send her right in the middle of the elbow joint. I'm gonna make it more comfortable for her. We're gonna pick the long axis of her arm down the long axis of the ir, the central ray right at the elbow joint. We wanna extend our collimation to about an inch on either side. We want about two to two and a half inches into the humerus and down into the radius and
