Finger/Thumb - Video Lesson

In this view, we will be demonstrating the third PA digit. The PA digits should be performed with the patient seated at the end of the radiographic table with the image receptor placed tabletop. With a forty inch source to image distance and no tube angulation. The patient is sitting at the end of the table I've placed a leg shield on her lap. Her arm is bent at a ninety degree angle so we can support the elbow. So on the PA finger, we are going to center at the proximal interphalangeal phalanx joint, which is the PIP. The collimation is gonna be about one inch either side of the digit, and we wanna include the MCP joint, the Metacarp phalangeal joint, and you wanna make sure that you have all of the shadow of the finger in. So we've got about an inch outside of the digit. We're gonna place our right marker
