Ultrasound Image Data - Video Lesson
Hey everybody. Welcome back to our course on ultrasound image processing. In this lesson, we'll be discussing read and write magnification and coded excitation in ultrasound imaging, and how they affect spatial resolution and image detail. Magnification in ultrasound imaging is used to enlarge specific regions of interest, allowing for a more detailed evaluation of anatomical structures. This is particularly important when assessing small or complex structures that require enhanced visualization. There are two primary methods of magnification, read magnification and write magnification. These techniques differ in how they process image data and their impact on spatial resolution and detail. First, let's discuss read magnification. Read magnification is a post processing function applied to a previously acquired image or a frozen image.
