Knee/Patella - Video Lesson

In this view, we will be demonstrating the AP knee. The APME radiograph should be performed with the patient seated or lying on the radiographic table with the image receptor placed tabletop or the Buckey, a forty inch source to image distance with tube angulation based on the patient's body habitus. So radiographs of the knee, there is many ways in which they can be accomplished. There's actually a textbook way and a clinical way. I'm going to show you what the textbook way is. First, I would like to, to recommend using a caliber to measure the need. Hartney here measures, eleven centimeters. And that's an indication of whether we are feel comfortable to put it on the tabletop or it needs some grid cleanup. If we are putting it on the tabletop, we're using less exposure. So we're gonna do it in that fashion here.
