Body Movement - Video Lesson

Another positioning terminology is Ab duction and adduction. If you move an extremity away from the midline of the body, this is abduction. If you add it to the midline, then you are doing adduction. Two other terms is a medial rotation and a lateral rotation. If we row an extremity in towards the midline of the body, that would be a medial rotation. If we row the opposite it way. We're roll rolling towards the lateral side of the body so that would be a lateral rotation. So if I place the patient's hand and roll it towards the lateral side of the body, this is known as lateral rotation. If I take the patient's hand and roll it in towards the midline of the body, this would be medial rotation. With both
