Hey, everybody. Welcome back in this lesson. We'll be talking about basic information related to HIPAA. HIPAA is actually acronym, which stands for health insurance, portability, and accountability act. This was an act that was passed in nineteen ninety six and has been revised several times since then. HIPAA law deals with something that we call protected health information. Protection health information based falls into three different categories. Protection health information includes all patient conditions, protected health information, also includes any kind of treatment or medical care provided to a patient and protected health information also includes all payments and billing information related to the conditions or treatment of the patient.
