Hey, everybody. Welcome to today's lesson on Doppler ultrasound. This lesson focuses on common Doppler artifacts as well as spectral analysis. Doppler ultrasound is a crucial tool in assessing blood flow characteristics, but various artifacts can degrade the accuracy of vascular and cardiac assessments. Understanding these artifacts, their impact, and strategies for their elimination is essential for ensuring diagnostic precision. There are several artifacts that can distort Doppler ultrasound data, leading to misinterpretation of hemodynamic information, aliasing, ghosting, clutter, and crosstalk.
