Filament Circuit - Video Lesson

Hey, everybody. Welcome back. This lesson is the third in series about the x-ray circuit. And in this lesson, we'll be talking about the filament circuit. You probably understand by now that the complete x-ray circuit is actually composed of three combined circuits. The primary circuit, the secondary circuit, and last of all, the filament circuit. This is called the filament circuit, for the obvious reason that it contains the cathode filaments of the x-ray tube and all of the electrical components that make the filament work correctly. The filament produces heat, and through the process of thermionic emission produces electrons. Those electrons collide with the anode, which eventually produces x rays.
