Hey, everybody. Welcome back. This lesson discusses the most common identification errors that can occur in radiographic imaging. Correct image identification is critically important. The x-ray operator has to ensure that the radiograph is performed on the correct patient, on the correct body part, and sent to the interpreting physician with the correct identification information If this doesn't happen, life altering pathologies could be missed. Every radiographic image has to include specific information such as the patient's name, the patient's date of birth, the date of the exam, the location of the exam, that's the facility where the exam was performed, and a right or left marker. A lot of times, we include more information, but these are the required elements. You probably understand that not all of this information
