MRI Vascular Extremities (Anatomy) - Video Lesson

Hey, everyone. Welcome to today's lesson on the MRI for the vascular extremities. In this lesson, we will look at the major arteries and veins of the upper extremities and lower extremities, some anatomy on MRN geography studies, and a few pathologies that may warrant a vascular study. Let's get started. It is important to review the aortic arch and be familiar with all the branches in order to fully understand the route of blood flow in the body. Let's review the important arteries and veins of the upper extremity. Remember, blood is pumped from the left ventricle through the aortic arch. From the arch on the left side of the body, the oxygenated blood goes to the arm through the left subclavian artery. On this image, we are looking at the right side, which starts with the brachiocephalic artery. Then blood to the arm travels through the right subclavian artery, axillary and brachial artery in the general area of the humerus. As we move to the lower
