Hey, everybody. Welcome back. In this lesson about CT contrast agents, we're talking about special considerations Basically, we're discussing patient conditions that require extra thoughts. Before we discuss these patient conditions, please take note of this important disclosure. Contract administration policies can vary. So check your department procedures and protocols before administering contrast to any patients. So here's our first special condition. And that is the case of a pregnant patient. Idinated contrast does cross the placenta, but there is no known risk to the fetus. Even though there's no known risk to the fetus, It has not been scientifically confirmed that there is absolutely no risk to the fetus at all.
