Soft Tissue Neck - Video Lesson

In this view, we will be demonstrating the lateral soft tissue neck. The lateral soft tissue neck should be performed with the patient seated or standing at the upright buggy. With a seventy two inch source to image distance, and no tube angulation. For the lateral view, I'm gonna have the patient turn towards me, and this will be a left lateral turnover. I'm gonna indicate the left side with a marker, a left marker anteriorly. We are still gonna center at the laryngeal, prominence. Our collimation is leaving it open at twelve inches. The breathing is still slow inspiration. Patient will hold very still and the exposure is taken. A diagnostic lateral soft tissue neck should include visualization of the air filled airway from the Fairanix
