Data Transformation - Video Lesson

Have you ever wondered where CT images come from? I mean, how does the information in the patient eventually become the information that you can see on the screen? Well, even if you've never wondered about that, that's the topic of this lesson. CT data transformation and transmission. Anatomic information collected by the CT scanner passes through several physical devices before it is ever viewed by the technologist. And in order, these devices are the detectors, the data acquisition system, the computer system and array processor and finally the output devices. Let's talk about the detectors. The responsibility of detectors is to capture radiation and produce an electrical signal. So radiation comes into the detector and an electrical signal comes out. That's the first step in a very complicated process. After those electrical signals leave the detectors, there's more that needs to be done. The next step is in the data acquisition
