Spatial Resolution - Video Lesson
Welcome back. This lesson is about spatial resolution. There's actually a few different ways to define the idea of spatial resolution, you could think of spatial resolution as the visibility of small parts in the CT image, but it's also important to think spatial resolution as the visibility of small spaces between those small parts. And you should also think spatial resolution as referring to the detail or sharpness in the CT image. All of these definitions are basically saying the same thing. So when we talk about spatial resolution, if we increase spatial resolution, think of that as in increasing the visibility of small parts in the CT image. And of course the opposite is also true.
