Hey everybody and welcome to our course on clinical care standards in diagnostic medical sonography. In this lesson, we will discuss how to incorporate imaging from other modalities, interpret historical imaging data, and produce meaningful technical observations which is essential to patient care, diagnostic accuracy, and interprofessional collaboration. First, it is important to be aware of other imaging modalities in patient history. These imaging modalities may include computed tomography or CT, magnetic resonance imaging or MRI, nuclear medicine for example HIDA scans, radiographs or x rays, endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography or ERCP, fluoroscopy and contrast studies.
