CT Liver Tumors - Video Lesson

Hey everybody, welcome back. This lesson is about the most common liver tumors that we evaluate in CT imaging. We won't discuss every known liver neoplasm, but we will discuss these three. Hepatocellular carcinoma, which is a primary cancer of the liver Hepatic metastases, which refers to metastatic tumors within the liver and Hepatic Hemangiomas, which refers to vascular lesions within the liver. Of these three, hepatic metastases are by far the most common. We discuss them together because these are all easily visible in CT and we need to understand how we scan them and how we distinguish between them. We'll start with hepatocellular carcinoma. Hepatocellular carcinoma is the most common primary malignant tumor of the liver, usually seen in association with liver cirrhosis.
