CT Pathology Overview - Video Lesson

Hey everybody, welcome back. This lesson is an overview of pathology observed in CT imaging. The most common pathologies can be organized into seven general categories. Neoplastic Pathologies, Infectious Pathologies, Inflammatory Pathologies, Traumatic Pathologies, Vascular Pathologies, Congenital or Developmental Pathologies, and Degenerative Pathologies. There are also some Miscellaneous Pathologies that don't fit nicely into these categories. In this lesson, we'll discuss the characteristics of the pathologies within these general categories, starting with neoplastic pathologies. Neoplastic pathologies involve the abnormal growth of tissues resulting in tumors and cancer. Any abnormal tissue growth is called a neoplasm. Neoplasms come in many forms.
